Talk: Emo, Goth/Screamo or Metal?
A friend came up to me today explaining the reason why Rap was so much better then hip-hop(not that i care THAT much), but it got me to thinking "[i]What people think if i started a thread on Emo/Metal/Goth/Screamo music?
The point is, this is a question for you all. Emo, Goth/Screamo, or Metal music? Why do you like, which do you dislike the most? why? and give your explanation.
((I know that not all music listed falls under these categories, but just bare with me.))
Preferably, I like Emo out of all of this. The music itself relates more to my own life. I am not saying i don't like Metal or Goth music, but Emo does relate to me alot more. Besides, i love its tune, also. I don't know about Goth that much, i have not heard alot of it (if anyone wants to give me a list of good Goth/Screamo bands, feel free)
but i felt obligated to put it in here...
Metal for me, helps put out different emotions that i can't explain very well, or when i need to just let loose. But it still falls short of Emotional Rock for me.
some of my fave songs/bands for Emo(or for what i consider 'emo':
Saying Sorry-Hawthorne Hights
Tears Don't Fall-Bullet for my Valentine
Save me From Me-Amber Pacific
My Heroine-Silverstein

i like emo the most because most emo songs i can relate a little more to than metal, and screamo. and also emo has a lot more feeling in them. my least favorite is a tie between metal and screamo because i hate listening to music that i can't understand the words, and i absalutly hate songs that are just a bunch of screaming. i don't see how they call that music. but hey if people like it, good for them.

I would have to say that I enjoy metal the most, but that screamo really helps me get out my emotions. Emo, for me, can get somewhat annoying.

I likes metal and screamo allll the way.
Emo depresses me. Which is kinda the point... >.> I don't like it. Lol.
